A quick post to say public thanks for what God has given me.
I am thankful that God has called me to a great church that has a passion for Him.
I am thankful for the members of Bethany and the love they have showered on me and my family.
I am thankful for my children. Even though the teen years can be tough, I am in awe at the responsibility God has given me with these three precious lives. I look forward to seeing them grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord as well as into responsible adults. I am thankful for this opportunity. There is no task like parenting.
I am thankful for my wife. She is the love of my life. She is the heart of my ministry. I don't always think of the right things to do, but she reminds me. She is my partner. She is my helpmate. As I rapidly approach the point in time when I will have lived with her longer than any other person on the planet (even my parents), I find myself in continuous awe that God would bless my life with such a beautiful person. Marci, I love you today more than I did when I asked you to marry me. You are an absolute blessing in my life and I am eternally grateful to God for you.
Finally, I am grateful and thankful to God almighty who sent His only Son to purchase my pardon. All of the above are awesome gifts from Him, but the gift of eternal life, bought with the blood of Jesus is what I am most grateful for. I can never repay or honor Him enough. He is my Lord, my Rock, my Shield, my Comforter, my Redeemer, and the recipient of all my praise. To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
