Crazy. That is the only word I can think of. If you dare, read this link from USAToday
I call it crazy because it is unverifiable malarky. There is simply no way to trace lineage the way this woman is claiming. There are NO records that can tie them together. It is like me saying I have a photograph of the ancient Israelites passing through the Red Sea. Not only did photography not exist in the ancient world, but how could it be preserved? Modern record keeping techniques did not exist. At best, scrolls were kept in jars such as we found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, but there was not even that level of keeping through the dark ages. That's why they are called dark. We don't know that much about what went on in that period of time. Only fragments of stories.
So, to claim that your family heritage can be traced through history to Jesus is just malarky, or craziness. God preserved what He wanted us to know in the Bible. There are other documents, but, for the most part, they only prove the Biblical accounts. And there is the gap called the dark ages when very little was published.
It seems Dan Brown revived an ancient heresy with The Davinci Code, and now every one and their cousin wants to cash in on it. How sad. Wouldn't it be better if we all just focused on the truth as God has revealed it instead of grabbing these ancient false teachings? Read the Bible and know the truth.
